The Bulgarian - UK strategic programme exploring possibilities for TNE partnerships within the higher education sector run by the British Council & the British Embassy in Bulgaria continues in 2023 with subject specific webinar sessions:
Bulgarian-UK TNE partnership programme: Exploring the market – role of businesses and subjects of interest for TNE HEIs partners
Taking place on 21-22 March 2023, the programme is running online sessions on key areas of interest for universities and institutes in the UK and Bulgaria, intersecting with main economic areas of interest for businesses and public-private partnerships.
Universities and other accredited higher education institutions in Bulgaria and the UK with an interest in setting up TNE programmes are invited to attend sessions related to their key areas of interest, and discuss/ pitch ideas for potential collaborations.
Sessions will focus on:
21.03.2023 (11.00-15.30)
- Introductory session with the participation of institutions and businesses, including a Q&A Session specifically focused on discussing TNE possibilities with Bulgarian partners and institutions
- Session focusing on Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence as emerging professions, as well as computer science
- Engineering, Technology, Architecture & Design session
22.03.2023 (11.00-14.30)
- Economics, Finance and Business Management
- Education and Social Sciences
- Medicine and Biology related studies
Ms Efremova, Deputy minister of labour and social policy will join the opening of the event and colleagues from the Agency of Employment will brief participants on the outcomes of a national-wide assessment regarding main economic fields of interest for employers, as well as what are tendencies in relation to wanted qualified talent. Experts from the Ministry of Education and Science will share more insights on the ranking of Bulgarian universities, professional development and way forward for HE students enrolled in TNE programmes. Dr Suzanna Tomassi from UK`s Department for Business and Trade will share more on the strategic vision regarding TNE possibilities and way forward.Private sector representatives, institutes and NGOs will be special guests of the sessions & introduce programmes for cooperation.
