They are charismatic masters of rhetoric, they know their science and have just three minutes to impress the jury and you – their audience. Welcome to the National Final of FameLab Bulgaria 2019. Sit back and let our ten finalists wow you – some will blow your mind away while others send you into reels of laughter, but they will all surprise you with little known scientific facts. This year we expect to hear stories all the way from bioinformatics to hydrobiology, from meteorology to organic chemistry, from dentistry and medicine to ecology and physics. Ten memorable researchers who will want to grad your hearts with their own passion for science.
Created in 2005 by the Cheltenham Science Festival in the UK, FameLab is arguably the largest and certainly the fastest growing science communication competition. Nowadays, through a partnership with the British Council, the competition is international and takes place in countries all over the world. More than 5500 young and early career researchers have taken part. Bulgaria was among the first countries to host the competition outside the UK in 2007.
In partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science, Aurubis and Forum Democrit.
