Huge telescopes pore into the skies on a clear night, collecting the faintest ray of light from distant objects in space. The images and spectra reveal the mysteries of the processes dating far back into the Universe’s past. Physicist Pencho Markishki from the Institute of Astronomy at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences will tell you about his spectroscopic research.

Dedicated to the Centenary of the International Astronomical Union.
