Role overview

Context and environment

British Council is the UK’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. In Bulgaria we deliver a wide range of UK exams across the country – from school exams, through IELTS and Cambridge Assessment English, to university and professional exams. In our teaching centres in Sofia, we also offer English courses for all ages – from courses for young learners (4-17 year-olds), through General English for adults, to Business, Legal English, professional skills workshops and corporate courses.

The Marketing and Sales Coordinator (MSC) is part of the country Marketing and Communications department. The team supports our work in the three major areas which shape British Council’s cultural relations offer in Bulgaria – teaching English, administering UK exams and delivering projects in Arts, Education and Society. The MSC focuses primarily on two of these areas – exams and teaching. Therefore the post is line managed by a Marketing Manager but is also accountable to the Examinations Services Manager and the Head of Teaching Centre.
